Special Education

Hello! Some of you might know me as "Miss Jernigan", but I got married over the Summer! My husband and I are happy to call Wabash our home. We have one dog, his name is Cole.

I attended college at Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana. After graduating, I started working at Wabash City Schools as the 1st and 2nd Grade Special Education Teacher. This is my 5th year here and I love being able to work with students at WCS.

Hello! I'm so excited to begin this school year! I am the 3rd and 4th Grade Resource teacher. I am also known around OJ as "Ophelia's person". If you didn't know, Ophelia is the therapy dog who comes with me to OJ! I have been teaching for 26  years. I have 2 sons, 1 dog (Ophelia), and 3 cats (Pepper, Missy, and Delbert)

I am currently starting my 11th year teaching special education! I have taught in 3 different school districts. I attended Manchester University (College then) and am currently attending Ball State University for my Masters in Special Education.
I am happily married with two children and a dog. Our little family currently lives in Wabash. I enjoy crafting, camping, going to the beach, watching movies, taking walks, naps on the couch and of course teaching!
