On Friday, September 22nd, our students in 1st - 3rd grades spent time at Manchester University to experience a college campus and spark excitement about their future as college students. Groups were led by college students and visited several stations that were run by college students, athletes, and employees. They did everything from running bases with the women's softball team, playing a game with the men's soccer team, & tackling football dummies with the football team, to seeing and participating in a robot demonstration.
Other stations/activities included:
- Clay Designs
- Drills with MU baseball players
- Circuit Station - aluminum plates were attached to circuits and a computer and music was played via the plates.
- Music Station - students were taught the Italian words for fast and slow and instruments were played along.
